Teoni - Studio 417
Teoni’s Studio 417 exhibition, held as part of Oysterfest in Amsterdam in 2024, was a deeply personal body of work. Named after the shared studio she inhabited with fellow creatives, artists, and the many guests who passed through its doors, the exhibition reflected on her formative years developing as an artist. The atmosphere of the space itself — shaped by daily visitors, the rhythm of passing cars, and the beauty found within its walls — became central to the work. Consisting of nine oil and pastel pieces on paper, the show captured fleeting impressions of life within the studio and translated them into rich, intimate compositions.
Studio 417 stands as both a love letter to the role of creative space and a broader meditation on community, process, and artistic exchange. By grounding her practice in the textures and interactions of everyday studio life, Teoni highlighted the ways environments shape artistic growth. The exhibition not only celebrated her personal journey but also acknowledged the collective influence of those who shared and shaped the space. In doing so, Studio 417 resonated as a reflection on belonging, collaboration, and the necessity of places that nurture creativity.
