Move / 005.

Move / 005 premiered in May 2025 as part of Tate Modern’s 25th Birthday Weekender, curated by fynn studio and inspired by Dan Halter’s 2005 film Queen of Rave from the Tate Collection. The event featured commissioned short films exploring the evolving legacy of rave culture and was showcased at the iconic South Tanks. The evening concluded with a DJ set from Jaguar, with the films playing alongside to serve as a visual installation for the set.

Each film was rooted in recorded conversations and transformed into moving-image works that reflect on memory, community, and music heritage within Black rave culture. Contributors included Nia Archives, Karen Nyame KG, and Colour Factory, whose stories and voices shaped the emotional core of the series.

Presented within a major cultural institution, the project continued fynn studio’s ongoing commitment to platforming underrepresented voices through sound, film, and collective storytelling.
